4 Weeks Old

I love being mom! Sometimes I still can't believe I really am one and even though I am still new at it and often feel like I don't know what I am doing, I wouldn't trade it for the world. My beautiful baby Saige is such a good baby! I love her so much. She is 4 weeks old now and I am amazed at how fast time is going by! She is growing like a weed! She is happy and doesn't cry that much. She smiles often whether in her sleep or awake and is very alert! And she loves baths!

Our Greatest Blessing

Saige is finally here!! We were so excited when my contractions were a good even 5 minutes apart at 2 in the morning. So we packed up to go get our little girl! After being at the hospital for a few hours and doing lots of walking, they decided that I wasn't progressing fast enough to stay. We were very disappointed but didn't want to give up just yet. So we went to a few stores and did some more walking. After a few hours of that, the contractions still 5 minutes apart and getting stronger we decided to try again. There still wasn't very much progress after about 12 hours of consistent contractions, they finally decided to help things along by braking my water. Just as the Dr. did so she was concerned that our baby was breached, they brought in the ultrasound machine and sure enough she was upside down! They broke the news to us that I was going to have to have a c-section! Tukker and I were so nervous! But within 30 minutes we had our little girl!! It was so amazing to finally see our beautiful little Saige! She weighed 7lbs and 4 oz and was 19 inches long!
